Hello everyone,
I would like to know if there is a possibility to use expression (mathematical or others) in text favorites ?
For example, I have an element nam AA_133 and I only want 133.
Or if I have a station 20 and I would like to do some calculation 20/1=1
Best regards,
YoussefB
Hey Youssef - Did you ever figure this one out?
Hello Paul,
Unfortunately no, I didn't figure it out.
Hi Youssef,
You cannot use expressions directly in Text Favorites, but what you can do is define Item Types that will store the value, and then use a Text Favorite to fetch this Item Type.
In sample file I created a ItemType called Short_Name that will return "133" from "AA__133".
Note : I had issues in French version when checking this just now, so I would advise to switch to EN language before creating Item Types / Text Favorites.

Hi Vincent,
This seems to do the trick, thank you.
Thanks for feedback.
For some fields, there is possibility to add a conversion factor directly in Text Favorite as explained in https://communities.bentley.com/products/road___site_design/f/geopak-inroads-mx-openroads-forum/242143/mathematical-expressions-on-ord-civil-labels
I've not made an extensive check but I found this conversion factor available only for surfaces and volumes.
