ORD - XS along a linestring

Thanks - this doesn't accomplish what I want it to do, I had already tried it without success for what I need. The issue is that I want the cross section to be along the channel (which parallels the road) then a skew across the roadway, and back to the channel. Therefore a linestring is needed vs just 2 points. I appreciate the link.

Then you really need a profile. Draw an alignment along where you want your section and create a profile sheet for it.

Thanks - that's what I've been working with as my backup. The irritation there is that I cannot get the same information for the proposed roadway without doing manual work. I can get the surface of the corridor to go on to the profile, but not the subbase/structure etc of the pavement and shoulder improvements. That linestring cut in SS10 was great. And while it technically is the profile, for the hydraulics I still need to show it as a cross section. So it's just extra work.

Try using the "Create 3D Cut" on your profile the second the last icon on the right in the profile view. I use that a bit for clearances to culverts and showing bridge structures from OBM. Just watch the placement method I think you will require "Full Profile"
