Is there a way to reference the profile view into another dgn? Or make the profile elements (the way that InRoads created profiles)?
Hi Christine
Take a look at this video on the "Attach All Profile Views" functionality in the profile view, which lets you import the profile view information from an attached dgn:

As far as I know, there's no simple way to display a profile as graphics that you can print, reference, and manually manipulate as was easily possible in InRoads. Instead, ORD requires that you create Named Boundaries for your profiles.
However - What if I don't want to print my profile to a standardized plan sheet or don't want to go through the hassle of developing a Named Boundary seed for some one-off goofy plan sheet / detail / exhibit? What if I'm creating my plan sheets using a workflow that doesn't involve Named Boundaries? What I did was create a DGNLIB with a variety of Named Boundary drawing seeds at different scales with ridiculously-large dimensions and paper sizes. This allows me to create one Named Boundary for my entire profile which I can then attach to anything else (Nesting = 2+). The sheet model that gets created in the process is irrelevant and can be deleted or ignored.
