Hi Everyone,
Our firm is having a recurring problem with our cross section labeling. We are creating our cross sections from corridor models. Once we have the cross sections cut, we only have 50-75% of the necessary cross hairs populated to annotate the cross sections. There is no rhyme or reason that we can pinpoint as to why it creates the cross hairs in some locations and not others. For example on one project, both edge of pavements were the same feature definition, and one side generated cross hairs and the other did not. We have tried changing the feature definitions, changing the point naming conventions, and even tried creating our own feature definitions to no avail.
It is starting to get frustrating to continually have to hand edit half of our cross sections.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Thanks for the response. The version that we are using looks a little different than the information provided. We don't have those tools. For example, this is what the tool boxes look like that we have.
What software are you using? It is some v8i release of InRoads/GEOPAK/MX, not OpenRoads Designer.
It is V8I SS4 with GeoPAK, but I don't know where to tell if it is Open Roads or In Roads. If this is the wrong section of the forum, which one should i post my question in? This was the one that i thought was closest.
You are in the right forum - GEOPAK SS4 with OpenRoads Technology is your situation :-) I have never used GEOPAK so cannot answer, sorry!
This forum covers all civil-transportation design softwares, including Geopak. You didn't identify which product and version you are using in your initial post, so I believe Avdhoot assumed you are using OpenRoads Designer.
There can be a little confusion around the SS4 (SS10) versions of Geopak because there is an "OpenRoads" technology preview built into the software. It's moderately functional, but it is only a preview of the future technology, and there are plenty of things you will need to go back to the native software to complete a project. OpenRoads Designer is the fully functional new package.
I'm not sure what you mean when you speak of "cross hairs" that are and are not being generated. What are you looking for? Generated point markers? Auxilliary information? Can you show us a screenshot of a "good" section and a "bad" section?
Templates are touchy. They can be pretty powerful, but they also require all of the logic to fall in place. And the OpenRoads technology doesn't "understand" hand edits the way Geopak does (not even in SS4).

Yes, I assumed that it's part of Openroads designer, As you are aware of the Corridor modeling tool which becomes part of up-gradation to SS4/SS10 Geopak technology, I would like to check this issue in more details,
I'll suggest you, Brandon, To file a service request for Geopak on the following link, Please attach the dataset and screenshot so that we can investigate it on our end to resolve your issue,
