I will push for the answer as it affects quantities and I would raher not to get claims from our Clinets that numbers in the Bill of Qunatity are understimated.

I am constantly having this problem with incorrect mesh produced with Create Cut/Fill Volumes tools. Mainly for the non-linear pieces of infrastructure. See picture below:

I recommend to check Virtuosity web and also news, released when Virtuosity was announced (e.g. this one).

But, I have to say, I do not quite understand what is a split between Bentley and Virtuosity when selling products (both have own e-shops) and how they planned to be presented in individual countries.

interesting information at least for me, please can you explain what "Virtuosity" means? I just started to check that pages and it completly new information for me.... Yes BTW IFC export control is my interest - it is start to be main project deliverable format

Thanks for sharing that, I can see how that would be a problem. I was concerned that it was something that was apt to be a little less apparent, at least this sticks out like a sore thumb. I'll be sure to keep my eyes open when creating these.

Maybe they decided to wait for PowerPlatform update. So far, ORD products usually used older platform version than was MicroStation released.

If Bentley will keep 6 month MicroStation release cycle, Update 16 should be released this month. But I think it will not happen, because in the meantime, Update 15.2 was released. On the other hand, MicroStation CE U16 help was started to be published to documentation site, even when not publicly (not listed in the available documentation). It typically happens when the product is in the final development phase.

The same happened from OpenRoads Designer, 2021 Release 1 documentation is there (again, not listed publicly ;-) But it's not updated yet and What's new section is empty (in contrast with MicroStation What's new), so it's not clear what new features and enhancements will be released. But at least, it's a proof ORD is also close to finalization phase.

Adam, thanks for asking on this, I was starting to wonder as I had heard at one point that something was planned for March. We are waiting on many of the items you identify here, plus (hopefully) significant improvement in how D&U content is annotated. What caught my attention however is your comment on cut/fill meshes generating randomly. I am not sure I have seen this, but it causes me some concern, could you elaborate on what you are seeing?

My feeling is that when sales operation were transferred to Virtuosity, no one from the companies take care about offer sales information in clear structured form.

I guess, IFC export is maybe part of iTwin Design Review subscription, I do not know about any comparison chart what services is available in what way (and in what price).

Hi Mark, I know about effords putted to IFC export withing iTwin services. But... problem with iTwin services is that I still not get any answer from bentley sales representatives or support how much I will pay for iTwin services and I will not try it without this importatnt infromation. I need to know how much shall I pay before I will start it use

Unfortunately I wouldn't hold out for many changes to the IFC export function in ORD, effort seems to be in the iTwin side of things.

Good thing is that the ability to filter what publishes to IFC is in progress (Export filtered IFC files | iTwin Services Ideas (aha.io))

yes, IFC export control would be great. For now we can only control this via turning on/off Feature Definitions. But this will not work when you have a master model (empty container) and all design models ar referenced there. Then no control over what is exported to the IFC.

Also, thanks to peers on this forum we can downgrade IFC to the version consumed by the Navisworks.
