I'm using Power Geopak V8i SS10. Very new user.
I have my centerline horizontal and vertical created and both have been exported to the gpk. My geometry file is referenced into my model file. When in my model dwg, if I switch to 3D space, the centerline does not show up. Also when selecting my centerline, it does not give me the option to open profile view. Any ideas?
All help is appreciated, thank you!
That worked! I set the profile as active and it now displays in the the 3D view. Does that mean when creating vertical alignments for other horizontal objects (edge of pavement, top back of curb etc.) I need to set profile as active every time?
Thanks so much
(I replied here once, but then had a note that I was "offline", so if this duplicates, my apologies.)
The vertical content that will show in the 3D model is going to be the active profile. Until a profile has been set active, there won't be anything in the 3D model. The opposite isn't always true, in that (depending on which product in the evolution of the tools you are using) clearing an active profile does not always remove the element from the 3D model.
If the profile has been set active, and you still don't see it, I would start to check levels and the Feature Definition to make sure something is defined for the 3D representation.

I may try to just remake the alignment and see if it recreates the 3D geometry, it shouldn't take me too long to recreate. Maybe my horizontal alignment is corrupt for some reason or something. If that doesn't resolve the issue I might attach a file here and/or file a service ticket with Bentley Support.
Thanks for all your help!
I think the 3D of the alignment SHOULD be created automatically, so there SHOULD be something in your geometry "Default-3D" model. Since there isn't, it explains why nothing is showing in the other drawing...But that doesn't explain why there's nothing there in the first place.
There's no need to reference the 2D to the 3D because that doesn't actually mean anything. In theory, everything you do (OpenRoads-wise) should be in the 2D Model, and it will automatically translate into the 3D model. You never have to actually touch the 3D model if everything is working correctly.
Could you attach that file here so that someone can take a look at it and see if anything odd jumps out at us? Or you could always file a Service Ticket with Bentley Support (They might get you an answer faster than us).

That is correct. I created horizontal and vertical with OpenRoads tools. If I open 3D model in geometry drawing and reference default model of geometry into 3d model of geometry, the centerline shows up but this isn't the 3D characteristics right?
But since there is nothing in the 3D space of my geometry file, even if I reference in the 3D model of my centerline drawing to another drawing. Nothing shows up still
