suppose I have 2 elements at the same location in my dgn file. Perhaps one represents the centerline alignment and the other represents a 2D pavement crown along the alignment with zero offset. When I use the Place Label tool to label the 2D pavement crown, the centerline alignment gets selected. When I right click to try to choose the 2D pavement crown instead, the command cancels. sure, I can turn off the alignment level to pick the pavement crown line, but this seems like this extra step shouldn't be necessary. I'm hoping this is either a defect or I just haven't learned the magic keystroke to cycle through elements when using the Place Label tool yet.

Is your Civil Accudraw active? Perhaps you can switch to regular accudraw.It is also possible that this is actually a problem with the program. You can always file a service ticket with support, and come back to us with whatever answer they can give you.
