Hey
I am trying to place a roundabout as a civil cell in OpenRoads but every time i place the civil cell it gets misplaced.
If i place the civil cell with the alignment it gets place far away from my allignment.
Can anybody help! :)
it sounds as if the origin of your civil cell isn't where you think it is.
I haven't done any work at all with civil cells, so I could be VERY wrong...But when creating regular cells, the geometry is created such that the origin point (insert point) of the cell is at 0,0. If the geometry is created away from 0,0 when the cell is placed, the geometry ends up far away from the intended point.

I have the same problem. I have verified that the insert point of the cell is at 0,0. But it is still being misplaced. Are there any other solutions for the problem?
Something else to look at might be units. In theory, your cell was created in the same units as your design file, but I've seen mistakes happen.
Since this thread has been marked as "answered", you may get even more assistance by starting your own thread. Tell us as much as you can about the information you are dealing with - what specific version of the software you are using, where the civil cells came from (if you know), what steps you are using. Go ahead and attach the civil cell if you can, so that people who know what they are looking at (not me) can examine it for flaws.
