Hi,I have done a horizontal and vertical alignment for a 10km road. How can I amend the horizontal alignment without loosing the entire vertical alignment. As soon as I drop complex status on the Horizontal alignment, my Vertical alignment disappears
If you need to add to the horizontal alignment, I would suggest utilizing the OpenRoads Modeling > Geometry > Horizontal > Modify > Append Element tool to do so as this will allow you to select a complex geometry element to amend.

alternatively, you can create a copy of the horizontal alignment you want to edit: either dgn or use copy tool or create "0" offset, copy vertical to it (it will be sort of buffer to store your vertical while you're editing horizontal), drop your horizontal to make necessary edits, create new complex and copy vertical back to it. hope it makes sense.
Thanks Mark
I did what you suggested however, it ask me to locate the complex element and when I try to pick the complex element, it gives me "invalid Geometry type"
It would be nice if the Geometry Builder Tool could import LandXML in addition to the specific GeometryBuilder XML.
Hi Mohammed,
You should always avoid using the Drop command for OpenRoads Geometry. Try doing a search for Complex Redefine.
