We are modeling a drainage network in OpenRoads' drainage and utilities tools. When modelling from scratch it seems to work fine, but if we start changing things, the model starts behaving strangely:
- If we add a new section to the catalog, it takes some time for it to appear in the conduits properties
- If we change a conduit's feature definition that has a different type of section (for example from circular to elipse) it doesn't assume the new sections on the "description" field.
- If we change the feature definition to one with a different material, that change isn't reflected in the 3D model visualisation
Has anyone seen this behaviour?
Using OpenRoads 10.09.00.91
Pedro, I encounter a significant number of circumstances where what I call the digital physical model (the content in the 2D and 3D MicroStation models shown in the Properties dialog) and the data/analytical model (content stored in the Drainage and Utilities model and shown in the Utility Properties) come out of sync. Occasionally, closing and reopening the file will help, but not always. For the conduits specifically, there is a tool on the ribbon at Tools > General Tools > Update Descriptions that is intended to realign the Properties Description field with the utility data.

Hi Steven, thanks for the reply. Yes, update descriptions helps a bit, but it doens't fix everything. Moreover, it seems random in what gets synced and what not. I was hoping I was just doing something wrong with the configs or something..
