There is a workflow to project a corridor feature to a referenced alignment profile. I would like to project the bottom of a channel created by the corridor. The corridor is crated using the referenced alignment, trying to use the tool project profile to an element does not work. It shows that the referenced alignment is not editable. There is any other tool to do it or have something to do with the settings of the reference file. This workflow is working if the corridor and alignment are in the same file.
Thanks
Nikolin
Go onto your alignement file, reference your corridor, use the command project profile to element, pick 2d or 3d corridor line then choose your alignement.
Thanks for the answer. I am sure this works like it works if the alignment is not referenced to the corridor file but part of it. I need to know if the workflow works in the corridor file itself if the alignment is referenced.
Profiles are 'children' of the horizontal. You have to be in the file where the horizontal lives to create a profile. Without a horizontal actually in your corridor file you will not be able to create a profile. JeremieDL suggested the correct workflow. You cannot add data to a file that is referenced.
