Bug in Mirror Command Default Selections

Bug in Mirror Command Default Selections

When I use the mirror button from the tools ribbon, it remembers my previous selections of the tool. The default options appear to be whatever was last used. (ie. the "mirror direction" is "line", "horizontal" or "vertical", which ever I last used).

But when I use the mirror shortcut keys (3,5 in my set up), it will always default to "horizontal". It doesn't remember my last settings.

My workflow is mostly the keyboard shortcuts, and since I rarely use the "horizontal" setting, I'm finding it annoying to keep selecting my preferred method.

My colleague at my company is having the same issue, though it doesn't impact her workflow.

Is anyone else observing the same on their system? What's the best way to fix this bug or request this bug be fixed?

Thank you,

Greg

  • The ribbon is probably using the command MIRROR ICON.

A number of versions ago, some extended key in commands were created and adding ICON was used on a number of placement and manipulation commands. I believe one or more other works were used for other commands, but those slip my mind at this time.

I think certain VIEW commands got special added words, but that's all I can remember right now.

Looking at the customize tools, you can usually see what key ins are used. I also have used to key in browser to learn extra command words.

Both Copy and Move have an Icon mode.
