I'm a little confused at the difference between these two terms. Usually features with the word "Drape" only need to be defined horizontally - which doesn't seem to be the case with a Drape Boundary. I can not seem to add either a 2D or 3D element to a Terrain Model as a Drape Boundary. Is this feature broken?
Hi Mark,
That's right. If you preselect the Feature and then use the Add Feature command with Drape Boundary set it will add successfully.

Thanks Mark,
So it appears this tool is a little broken. It does indeed only work when a 3D Linear Element is pre-selected. I usually don't preselect when adding Features to a Terrain Model. I find it weird that this tool doesn't accept a 2D Linear Element - mainly because you can use a 2D Linear Element with the Break Void feature. However, this option does NOT change the elevations along the new Draped Boundary - which does happen when a regular Boundary is added.
Also, even if a 2D linear element contains an Active Profile - it is still not selectable from the 2D Design Model (Default)
Yep, hopefully it's fixed in the upcoming release. It makes no sense for it to work the way it does. I'd put a SR ticket in just in case.
