I am trying to make the alignments within my .alg to be read-only. I want to be able to have the alignment checked-out, modified then checked back in. I checked-in all of my alignments, saved and exited. When I load the .alg file again, then alignments are read-write.
I deleted the .lck file and performed the task again thinking it would create a new .lck file with the alignments checked-in. No luck. Any ideas?

Go to the Tools> Options> Geometry tab and toggle on Read-Only for the Horizontal Alignment and Cogo Buffer, Apply, and save the preferred preference. The next time that you open the XIN and ALG files, the geometry should be read-only.
