I installed OpenRail today, and had the same problem. I also updated OpenRoads to 2020 R3.
When I nominate a new file (based on 3d seed file), the program stops responding with the attached dialog. Any suggestions why?
I let it run for 10 minutes and no change.

Updating to the latest version of OpenRoads has resolved this issue. I still have it for OpenRail and believe I have the latest already.
