I am currently using Microstaion v8i, select series 10. I have created a 3D model and im trying to get the ROW line to show. I have previously used horizontal geometry lines and created a complex element with the feature for Existing ROW lines to make it show, once set active under a terrian model. When I go to create 3D cross sections, in the cross section viewer I can see the Existing ROW lines and my template & existing ground but when I cut the cross sections it will not show on the sheet just the templates/existing ground I created. Not sure what the problem could be, im thinking maybe something needs to sinc that im not doing , any advice would help. Thanks in advance
Could be the Z value of those elements are not near the real elevations. Assume you're using an application software like Open Road, can't help with that.

From the terms you have mentioned like "cross section viewer", "horizontal geometry lines" etc. it appears, like what Bob Rayner suggested, that you might be using a Civil product, like OpenRoads or InRoads. Would you be able to clarify exactly which software / version is being used.

Yes thats true. When I created a new ROW line closer to the template , the existing ground was constant but still it would show in my X-sections production. Im assuming the survey should of been maybe a foot or more past the ROW line to get the Z-elevation
Its Open Roads concept , do you know of any pdf or sited to show the flow pattern of X-Sections ? I was thinking maybe i did something wrong or may need a new setup
