I only have access to read-only geometric files. I have a roadway alignment with an active profile and then many additional profiles used for ditch grades. How do I get the exact elevation of a ditch grade profile at an exact station? The analyze tool will not run because I am in a read only file and if I use the tool in my working file with the geo file referenced I only have the option to analyze the active (roadway) profile, not any of the secondary profiles. Used to use Cogo to get this information.
I can't analyze the corridor because it has not been created or updated.
Megan,
using the analyze point tool you can simply select the ditch profile in the profile view and it will give you station/elevation readouts.
Hope this helps!!!

This tool does not work in a read only file, which is all I have access to.
You can use the place label tool with a text-favorite field assigned to profile "point Z" elevation. Utilize Civil-accudraw to lock to a specific station.

I would create a new drawing and reference your readonly file. Then you can do what you want: analyze point, display profile, etc.
Did not realize you could activate the profile view of referenced geometry. This worked. Thanks.
