I have Item Types created for various design elements that we use. I have corresponding Element Templates created, and have added the correct Item Type to these Element Templates.
I am using a Key-in to turn Element Template Association ON, choose the correct Element Template, and then place a line.
Until yesterday, this process worked perfectly. I would choose a custom tool that said "Place 1-2" Underground Conduit", and it would turn on Element Template association, select the "P_1-2" Underground Conduit" Element Template, and then pull up the Line tool. If I drew a line, I could then see the Item Type "Conduits" attached with the correct values.
Now when I go to draw that same line, no Item Types are attached, and I cannot figure out what the issue is. Any ideas what may be causing this issue? My Item Types attach to cells with no issue, and I can see the properties when I click on the cell.
I believe the issue is related to Item Type Expressions. I added one to calculate the length of a line I placed, but that seems to break the relationship between Item Types and Element Templates. If I remove the Expression and re-make the Element Template, then the Item Attaches as intended.
