Joe, this bugs me every now and then as well. Depending on the intended behavior of your shoulder components, two thoughts. First, is there any reason the end condition can't be built off of the end of the shoulder components? The second thought would be to induce a small separation (0.001') between the shoulder component and end conditions, moving either the shoulder down or the end condition up. Again, this may depend on the nature of your should / end condition interaction. I have one client where the subbase must seek the end condition, so the end condition forms the top of the subbase component. In that case, sense we are doing any visualization at this time, we just live with the overlay for now.

this situation can not be avoided in my contry for fill section of the highway. i do the same way with the second method. maybe there is no better method except leave a little space.like 0.001'
