Hi guys,
I have recently updated my ORD version from 2020R3 to 2021R1. Mostly everything seems ok but I have encountered slow opening speed of sheet model display. I captured the screen for comparison. This issue was also a problem in 10.07 version and corrected in following releases but now it occured again. I appreciate any suggestion as browsing through sheet models is a common practice.

Hello,
I just want to ask if there will be any improvements in ORD 2021 R2 about the "Slow Sheet Model Opening"?
Hi Erdem,
Did you get a defect logged for this one? We have the same issues but haven't had time to be able to reproduce it clearly to Bentley support.

Mark

Hello Mark,
I captured screen for comparison of 2020r3 vs 2021r1. But I haven't submitted a defect. Actually I think this will be considered as a defect. This was a solved problem previously and appeared again.
best regards,
OK thanks Erdem,
Do you know what resolved it? We've found it only happens when there is any change in the 3d model, Inc. Level display change, reference change, etc.
We normally create a new Projectname_XS.dgn and reference Projectname_corridor.dgn to it. As we have completed the design stage and producing the sheet models any change is not expected on both files. I've witnessed sheet models only open slowly in 2021R1.
I dont see this issue in Microstation CE Update 16.2 so hopefully that behaviour continues with 2021 R2 which should come shortly...

Isn't it too late to release 2021 R2? ;-)
But I agree, the release based on CE U16.2 power platform is desperately needed.

From what I've been told it was due at Christmas, but looks to be delayed from some last minute issues. Not sure if they will bother rebranding it if it comes out very early in the new year, but who knows...
