removing the +50 stations from my cross sections

Is there a way to remove the +50 STA cross sections from my cross sections that I've already cut?

So I'd only have 100' increments. Besides manually deleting them all, of course. I have a lot of cross sections to deal with so I'm trying to avoid that.

Thanks!

  • What software are you using, and what version of that software?

Do you want to eliminate the sections entirely, or simply remove them from your sheets?

In all of the software packages, it seems easier to create additional cross sections that it is to remove unwanted ones (except by manual deletion). if it's more than a few, it's simpler for me to delete them and recreate them than to try to back them out of the design. I will be interested what suggestions other people have.

  • Hi MaryB,

Thanks for your response. I am using Power Geopak ss10 V8i.

The sections can be eliminated entirely.

Yeah, it’s a long corridor (a little over 9 miles). When I initially cut the cross sections that the sheets are made from it was one single corridor and since then I have split it in three. I’m making changes to the three corridors now and so I don’t want to cut new ones from them if I can avoid it.

  • If your using ORD, it might be simplest to delete them and re-create them.  If its a long road project, the User is dependent on the Cross Section Drawing Models being placed on the Sheet Models correctly.  Its just not feasible to manually reconfigure Drawing Model references in the Sheet Model for longer roads.

In general, I've found that the User has one shot to "cut" cross sections correctly.  If stations are missed or need to be deleted, it can ripple through all sheets.  Overall, cross sections are the biggest pain about this software.

    Yeah, I was afraid of that… I’ll re-cut!

    Much appreciated
