I have a chain that is comprised of a line segment and curve. I would like to be able to divide the chain similar to dividing a line or curve without doing so segmentally

RE: GEOPAK Divide Function

Glad to help!

RE: GEOPAK Divide Function

Thank Mary! This is exactly what I'm looking for GEOPAK to do but at least I have a workaround in MicroStation in the meantime.

RE: GEOPAK Divide Function

I'm not in Geopak right now, but I know that the MicroStation Points Toolbox has "Construct Points Along Element" which can be used to place a set number of equally spaced points along an element. If you use plain point (zero-length line) elements, set your active color to something obvious, and use a weight of about 8, to make your poiints easy to see.

Geopak may have something better, but I'll defer that to someone who can see the tools.

RE: GEOPAK Divide Function

My objective is to identify the point locations.
