Hello, in the company where I work we were told that we should use openroads, due to the notice that Bentley would have announced the end of Inroads (Suite or Power) this would be within this year. I have searched many sites, including here in Bentley, but I have not discovered if this information is effective.
Hi Antonio,

Really? End of support of V8i products (especially MicroStation, but it's valid for all products) have been discussed many times in last several years. And you can find plenty of such discussions on this web.

It's not "end of InRoads", but "end of support". See Bentley Support policy page for details, where you can also download a list of V8i SS10 applications.

Bentley are pushing their users to migrate to CONNECT Edition platform from the very first moment this platform was released many years ago. In the case of civil products, the first version of OpenRoads Designer (a successor of all V8i civil products like InRoads, MXROADS and GEOPAK) was released 4 years ago.
Be aware the support of all V8i products will be discontinued from the next year. It will probably not bring any serious issues to users, because new versions have not been released for long time anyway, but only the latest versions (SS10) are certified for Windows 10, and for sure no V8i version will be certified for Windows 11 (there are rumors Microsoft will release them next month).
Also be aware to migrate to OpenRoads Designer is not just to install new product, but many things are new and different, so the migration is not simple (settings/templates/workspaces have to be reworked and upgraded to work in ORD CE).
With regards,
Jan
