Using drawing Tools to develop Vertical Geometry -- can't trim or delete???

 Hello, 
 I have a long edge of pavement alignment that I need to show a profile for in the plans. There are 3 different alignments that the edge of pavement profile is based on. So, I've projected multiple "profile by slope from element" profiles onto this complex element representing the edge of pavement. Now, I am trying to trim off the parts of the projected profile that I do not want to show (i.e. where the projected profiles intersect). I've had success in the past with using Trim Multiple to do this, but sometimes it is just not working at all. Even if I try to delete all of the profiles and start over, the profiles are not responding whatsoever to these commands. Is there a better way to do this?

Hi Ben, 
 
 I bet this is when your persist snaps setting is disabled? You'll see that the trim commands don't work when persist snaps is off.
