My question is in relation to importing DTM Features that are being used on a legacy SS2 "corridor" that I would like to import into ORD. To maintain as many point controls, parametric constraints, etc. as possible and because loosing corridor dependencies really bites, I am trying to maintain data continuity between the SS2 and ORD corridors.
We used a lot of SS2 DTM Features as point controls and other corridor features, which from what I have gathered, are being found on IRD import into ORD by the name the line was given when it was created, ORD then looks for that name from the DTM feature, but to find it, it must be a Linear Feature or Alignment.
I was able to figure out how to import DTM Features (only) from a DTM, but how is one supposed to convert them to Linear Elements with 3D Profiles, while maintaining the naming convention they were originally given so that the ORD Corridor finds them on IRD import, as a dependency? Thoughts? Thanks everyone!
If you import the DTM features in a 3D model and name all of them (checkbox during import), they should be ready to use for the corridor.
