I'm required to add several descripting expressions but most expressions publicly available doesn't seem to accomplish these goals.Currently I can't seem to get Start End coordinates for my model elements and width or height of constructive layers. Tried using the expression builder but most I've tried failed to display any data.
Have you tried to use Asset Manager or/and Lookup Tables. I don't think you will find width attribute attached to the pavement mesh component, same with layer thickness. But for given material you can automatically search and assign item type with layer thickness from the lookup table.

So If I understand correctly then I basically have to manually prepare an excel sheet for each element and then manually select elements and attach separate excel sheets to each group of elements since I'm required to add attributes in under same title rather than a title that represents item. And in case of changes edit the excel table along with the model. Seems really inconvenient. I was curious if an expression can be added in the excel that subtracts a template's layers point heights/offset and displays it as a heights or something similar for width. It's just I'm unexperienced with the expressions and their context.
Assign for example Item Type: "asphalt wearing course" to the feature definition. then based on this attribute thickness will be automatically populated from the excel where in a single column you have "asphalt wearing course" and in second "layer depth". In your models the value will be read from the excel. Alternatively you can preset this value in your Item Type that is assigned to the Item Type that is attached to the Feature Definition.
Start End stations can be automatically populated with the Asset Manager, and values are read from the selected horizontal geometry.
Interesting. I'll try it. Thank you!
