Template Disappearing

We are running into some issues when modeling an intersection.  We have the corridor with the template running along the mainline of our project.  We also modelled both sides of the intersection.  We were then attempting to create a surface on the left side of the mainline to model the returns and approaching roadway.  Once this terrain was made, the template along the mainline disappeared, however the corridor is still there and when going into the "Corridor Objects" it still says the template is there along with all of the point controls/parametric constraints.  I'm not sure why this template would disappear when creating this surface to the left of the mainline.  Any ideas on this?
