Modifying the representation of drainage structures in profile view

Good afternoon!  I am trying to create drainage profile sheets in OPENROADS and I'm running into an issue with how some of the structures are displaying in the profile (see images).  I tried merging the drawing model to master to edit the structures but then all of my Text Favorites loose their information from the embedded StormCAD model.

Three ways to solve my problem that I see are:

1) Merge to master and recreate all of my label information (very slow, error prone)

2) Somehow save a copy of the label that doesn't have the reference - I tried copy -> drop element but that removed the Element data in the label in both the copy and the original. (looking for something kind of like paste values in Excel) then merge to master and make edits (slow, less error)

3) change the way that the structures are represented in profile view (I don't know how to go about this yet but imagine it requires editing the 3D cells that are used in the model to represent the nodes)

Does anyone have any ideas on a better way than those listed above?  And/or how I would go about implementing options 2 or 3?  I am a recent convert to Bentley tools so I may be missing something super simple.

Cheers,
Damien

(after merge to master in drawing model - white line is model generated structure blue line is proper width)

(before merge to master in drawing model - notice narrow structure width but proper footprint)

  • Damien, I suspect you will find that option 2 isn't really going to play out much different from option 1 in that you will likely need to essentially recreate your labels as text content from scratch. Depiction in the profile can adjusted in the User Preferences. You could try one of the other options, but I haven't found anything that really makes me happy.
