I'm using Illinois DOT standard feature definitions for creating and labeling horizontal alignments. I want to modify a couple things in the standards to customize. Changes include doing minor tick marks at 50' instead of 100', and changing the levels.
I can't figure out how. I go to Explorer > Feature definitions or annotation definitions and right click properties and nothing happens.
You must go to the Annotation Groups dropdown then right click on the specific group in question and select manage.
I don't have any option for Manage, unless I'm in the wrong place
If you want to edit the master standards file you must do it in the .dgnlib drawing. It looks like you are probably in one of your design drawings because the v8 icon next to annotation group is gray. If so, you can edit the standards for that specific drawing. Under the Standards dropdown there should be another dropdown with the design file name and the v8 icon highlighted in blue.

This is what mine looks like. You can change tick mark spacing in the location tab I circled. You can change levels in the Template tab. I would suggest reaching out to someone in CAD Support at IDOT for more specific guidance. I found a good contact at my DOT for this stuff and they are usually available to screen share and walk me through stuff and also troubleshoot issues. It's been a huge help in learning this software. I was worried about asking stupid questions to our biggest client but really every consultant is going through this learning curve, they should be happy to help.
