Hi, we are experiencing issue with superelevation rule file in PW.
We use ORD 10.09.00.91 and ProjectWise Explorer 10.00.03.453 and managed workspace. When a superelevation rule file (xml) is assigned to a superelevation section it gets copied out to PW local folder located in user specific windows profile folder. This results in the superelevation rule / settings active only when the geometry file (we keep superelevation entities with alignment geometry in one file) is opened in PW by the user who assigned the superelevation rule file. If the geometry file is subsequently opened (checkedout) by a different user, the superelevation becomes static and doesn’t adjust when an alignment is changed e.g. when a horizontal radius is changed the graphics (lanes and sections follow the alignment but the values of crossfalls and locations of key points do not update). In Explorer all the settings associated with the superelevation rule file are shown in grey and a user cannot make changes. The only option is to re-assign the superelevation rule file but this will only work for that user. It is dangerous as users might not be aware of this problem and requires a ridiculous workflow to keep the superelevation data updated correctly.
We have logged a SR for this issue which resulted in a Defect 1139905.
Has anyone come with a solution or workaround and managed to assign a PW path?
Regards,
Mariusz
