Renumber stationing on an alignment after writing it

I'm working on my first alignment(s) using InRoads Power Survey SS2. I have an example created by one of my office mates that I'm following (I also got the Bentley InRoads ROW Fundamentals which (confusingly) fills in some gaps in the example). Not really knowing what I was doing, I just number the stations using 10+00 as a start, and wrote them to graphics.

Now I find out that the numbering should have started with 0+00! My question is, is there a way to just renumber them, or do I have to do the alignment all over again?

Thanks!

  • Update:

Apparently you can do this! Simply click from the InRoads Explorer pulldown Geometry > View Geometry > Stationing, you get this dialog box:

As you can see from the above select General (default, I think), make sure your alignment appears in the "Horizontal Alignment" box (might be there already if your alignment is set to Active Current), click "Station" box under "Limits", set the stationing you desire (I was changing from starting with 10+00 to 0+00), click "Apply" at the bottom, and "Close".

And just like that, you're where you need to be!

    Hope that helps!

  • Actually, you want to go to Geometry > Horizontal Curve Set > Stationing.

This dialog box can set starting stationing and station equations. It also allows you to define a station value within an alignment at a selected point to calculate the starting station in order to make that selected point a particular station. For example, if one alignment crosses another and you wanted the intersection point to be station 10+00, you can enter that station value and use the Locate Button next to the Name, Northing, Easting fields and intersection snap to select the location and when you press Apply, it will update the station and coordinated fields to the calculated starting station and coordinates.
