Yes, this is one of several bugs with Slope Signatures and please log a SR for this. I have logged this several times.

Thanks for your reply Oskar. Your suggestion worked for me.

When I removed the feature definition from FIL_V, FIL_H, TB_V and TB_H I.e. all intermediate points between the source and target of the side slope annotation I have setup I get the annotation correctly.

This is a great workaround however I still feel that removing feature definitions to get slope annotation isn't perfect. If anyone out there has an idea of how to do this while keeping the feature definitions set on any intermediate point I'm glad to hear your solution.

You can try to remove Feature Definition from point: FL_V, FL_H, FIL_V, FIL_H, TB_V and TB_H.

While I am still figuring out annotation myself, I suspect that it may have something to do with the fact that the second template has closed components instead of a slope line. I think closed component side slopes do not label the same way. It's also possible that you have some sort of distance filter applied, so that segments less than a certain length do not get labeled.
