Error when changing/deleting Template drop

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to change the template of one of my template drops after I deleted the old template, but even in the properties it says it has the new template. When I try to synchronize the template with the library it says it can't find the old template despite it not being present anymore. So to get around this I was going to try and delete the template drop then place a new one in with the newer template, but then it won't delete and throws me the following error:

Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

  • Is this SS10 or ORD?

If it is SS10,  try the following steps:

    • Key In: Civil Display Browser and click on the medic (looks like a first aid kit)
    • Lock the corridor
    • Delete the template using Project Explorer ( not directly)
    • Compress the DGN
    • Unlock and Reprocess the corridor

Alternate approach, but similar, if the above steps don't work:

    • Key In: Civil Display Browser and click on the medic (looks like a first aid kit)
    • Lock the corridor
    • SWAP the template using Project Explorer ( not directly)
    • Compress the DGN
    • Unlock and Reprocess the corridor

For ORD, take the same approaches listed above except the Civil Display Browser. It is my understanding that functionality has been removed from ORD and there is not a replacement, but there may be someone else that replies on this that knows what the replacement is for that.

Also, make sure to back up the file--I hope this all helps resolve your issues.

  • Hi,

Thankyou for your response, I followed the approach and reprocessed the corridor, but then it threw me another error:

I look back at the model and it unfortunately still hasn't changed.

    Thanks,

    Jake

  • Try and delete your ORD preferences, which are located in the following folder:

    C:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\Bentley\OpenRoadsDesigner\

If you do not see the AppData folder, go to view under file explorer and check the box for showing hidden folders.

That will delete your preferences to your tool bars so if you want those backed up, copy the ucf and upf files.
