When I first loaded a new configuration from the local DOT the properties and details boxes were tabbed together. I separated them and now can't get them back together.
Any ideas? Thanks
Hi Lucas,
when you drag a dialog, check displayed icons (glyphs as caddcop wrote). They tell you where the dialog can be docked (because some dialogs can be docked anywhere, others only at defined positions).
When you want to dock a dialog on top of another to be "tabbed", simply drag the dialog (cursor) to the center of "icons cross", where tabbed mode is displayed. It is good seen on Chuck's picture.

For the properties dialog I have the left and right glyphs, for details I have top and bottom, no center glyphs for either. Also in explorer I have different style of tabs. I'm not sure where the settings are to change these. This is a DOT configuration so they could be locked down, I'm not for sure if that's possible or how to change it.

I am not sure I understand right the final state you want to reach (at least because I do not know initial state of DOT configuration). I think it is not possible (so any screen picture of the initial state is welcomed), because as David wrote already, Details dialog can be docked top or bottom only, but Properties dialog can be docked to left or right only.
Are you sure?

It is what both MicroStation and ORD, that I have installed, show me.
So far you do not provide any information what ORD version you use. I have not the latest versions installed, but I guess it is still the same.
With regards,
You are correct. This is 2021 R1. In this version even though it shows only the up and down docking arrows, you can double click the top bar and it will dock left.
I've talked to the DOT and he confirms his properties and details were tabbed at the top when he started. He's since did what I did and pulled the details tab off and can't get it back either.
I'll keep looking and post when I find a solution.

It sounds more like a bug (or not public not finished yet enhancement) ;-)
