Since it looks like you already have the linework for your cables and pipes, you may want to explore the "Extract from Graphics" tool. You should then be able to select (or develop filters for) the content you want to model and it will place nodes at the ends, generate the bends as needed and define the elevation based off of a surface (or elevation of the line elements if they are 3D).
