Can you post a couple of files over to the Files: "What Happens When You Place an Inlet" and "What Happens When you Hit Compute"? There is information there and some nice graphics that illustrate how to provide alternative flows to inlets ("Flow (Additional Subsurface)", "Flow (Additional Carryover)", etc.). Some of the layout steps are obsolete, but the hydraulic discussion is still very informative. Thanks!
Hi Jeff,
I've found those PDF's, and reviewed them. Some of the content is, as you note, obsolete, and a good level of knowledge is needed to discern what's current, so I don't want to post them in their current form.
We have a document here:
An Overview of Drainage and Utilities Feature Definitions - OpenRoads | OpenSite Wiki - OpenRoads | OpenSite - Bentley Communities
that explains the various parts of a Drainage and Utilities feature definition.
We've also put a lot more information on scenarios and alternatives in the Drainage Hydraulics classes.
I'll look to include some more hydraulic details in the relevant training classes as we update them.
yes, much has been added and improved since that document was written. thank you.
