OpenRoads corridors and template drops not updating correctly.

Hi all,

Firstly, I'd like to point out I am fairly new to using Bentley products (as are most of my team) so when issues occur we are often pretty stuck when it comes to working out the correct fix.

We are working on a large infrastructure project and need to make some amendments to existing models (created by other users) - template edits, parametric constraints, etc. The latest issue we are having is quite difficult to explain, but I will try my best:

The original model files are stored in a project folder on ProjectWise - for the purpose of this post let's call this PF01. We initially copied these to a sub-folder within PF01 to make a start on the amendments until the new project folder was set up (we'll call this PF02).

Once PF02 was set up, we copied all the model files that require updates from PF01 to PF02 and then used the "Replace" option in projectwise to replace them with the amended models in the sub-folder of PF01. Work has since continued on model files in the PF02 area, however files that do not need updating (alignments, etc) are still referenced in from PF01.

When working in the PF01 subfolder, there were no issues with corridors updating. It has only happened since moving the files to PF02.

When a change is made to a corridor or template, the 2D view updates accordingly but 3D views and cross-sections do not. What happens is the corridor updates to show the changes, but it also displays the previous corridor - almost as if an old model file was referenced in, only it isn't. There seems to be no way of removing this "ghost" corridor and both display in the 3D views.

I've done a quick mark-up to try explain what I mean. Apologies if the above is not clear - please let me know if there are any queries.

So far, the solutions we have tried (and not succeeded in fixing):

  • Synchronising template drops with the template library.
  • Force processing of corridors.
  • Ensuring that all references point to the correct versions of model files (Between PF01 and PF02).
  • Using the "Scan References and Link Sets" tool in ProjectWise

If anyone has any solutions they can offer it would be greatly appreciated. We are under pressure to deliver some models in the next couple of weeks so are keen to get this fixed asap!

Many thanks,

Danny
