When we submit plan sheets we are required to show elevations of adjacent linear elements using the plan's centerline stationing. In other words we need to project the centerline stations onto the adjacent elements and provide the elevation value at those intersection points.
Using the plan linear annotation in ORD one can place these elevations but they are placed using the linear element stations rather than the centerline stations. As a result the elevation values do not align correctly in the plan.
I am trying to find a tool that can project the stations of the centerline to a different linear element so I can annotate the elevations of that element according to this projection.
I found the Point Event List option in the location dialog of the Annotation Manager. This might help but it seems that I would need to manually make a list of all the projected points which is a rather tedious process.
thanks!
You will need to use Civil Labeler. I would check out the Station/Offset annotation to get started. I am not sure if there is a default one in there for what you are looking to do, but you should be able to build off what is there by default to make this happen.
