I have a road alignment for a crescent street, basically it is a 'U' shaped alignment.
I have created storm and sanitary sewer runs for the crescent.
When I 'project run' to the alignment and view in profile, it appears that some of the elements are being projected to the closest alignment AND the other part of the alignment on the far side of the crescent.
Is there a way to 'limit' the project distance for runs?
It works for me in the version i have, but seems to only happen with nodes set as "LINE". Yours is box and I dont run into that issue if i set as box either.
We've done a lot of work in the Project Profile Run command for the 2021 Release 2 version. In it, I've tried to replicate the "U" shaped alignment in the picture below, and the projected profile run looks correct to me.
PEvans - Defect 1141796 looks like it's about a different issue?
That problem has been around a long time in many versions of Bentley software. We just filed Defect 1141796 for this exact problem in the version you are using. Sorry this is not a solution, but at least you know you are not crazy.

What software, and what version of the software are you using?
