Honoring Level Overrides for Plan Production in 10.08

I am running OpenRoads Designer 10.08.01.33.

When I create sheets and apply level overrides to the Default model, the level overrides are not honored in either the drawing model or the sheet model.

I can get the overrides to work if I navigate to the drawing model, right-click on the reference and select Presentation and toggle Level Overrides on. I would like level overrides to be turned on by default when I create sheets, do I update the Seed file or the DGNLIB to accomplish this?

  • Here is the "best" workflow for ORD 10.08.

    1. Verify that level overrides are on in all Base file DGNs.
      1. Ctrl + B and verify the flag next to Level Overrides is turned on.
      2. No actual level overrides are applied to the base file(s).
      3. Save Settings
    2. Create your Nest DGN and add references to the Default model.
      1. Use the Level Manager to apply the wanted Level Overrides to individual reference files.
      2. Open the reference dialog box, right-click and navigate to “Presentation”
      3. Check the box to use flags, and turn on the flag for Level Overrides.
      4. Repeat for all references. This this can be accomplished by using shift and selecting multiple references at the same time.
      5. Save Settings.
    3. Create your Sheet DGN
      1. Reference the Nest DGN created in Step 2 into the Default Model.
        1. Verify that Nested Attachments is turned to "Live Nesting" and has a nesting depth of 1.

Level Overrides will now show up all sheet and drawing models.
