I feel like there should be a simple solution to this... but how do you drape an aerial to the triangles in a file? I tried bringing in my aerials through reference manager and changing the Draping option to yes and still doesn't work. I am using an aerial that is not from google earth. Does that matter? I would hope not.. Current version we're running is 2020 R3
Try attaching your aerials through the raster manager, does that work for you?

You can also drape raster images onto scalable terrain models:

I saw a video on that. Except it was for microstation not ORD. and couldn't find how to do it in ORD.
Wasn't there a way to do this involving defining a material for the terrain?

Yes I already have them attached through the raster manager. I also have the draping option checked. I dont get why they're not draping. What is a .stm file? I thought all you needed was a terrain?
So i found the material type for my terrain and it is set at dcdrape.. So I have no clue why this isn't working
