For a project we need Reports from data out of Item Types / Items. The dgn file is part of a project that exist of multiple 2D / 3D dgn files that find it origin in OpenRoads Desiggner. The Item types are linked to an Excel file wich are linked to Feature Definitions.
This works all as suspected and the possibility to enrich objects with data from Excel, do calculations with it, is seen as added value.
If Reports are created however, thing are going wrong. If a New Report Definition is Created, the computer hangs for 65 seconds (see image below). In MicroStation CE u16 however, this works direct (the reports in the image below where made in MicroStation because ORD was unworkable slow).
Is it possible to generate Reports with no waiting time like in MicroStation / what am I doing wrong?
p.s. When testing this with a more simple file (see image below), no data is shown when Selected is chosen if a new Report Definition is created..

In the previous post I might have forgotten an important detail. ORD 2021 R1 and R2 are installed simultaneously and de dgn testfile was made in ORD 2021 R1.
I've deleted the user preference and Temp folder and followed the next steps:

I was under the impression that 21R2 would be an updated installation of 21R1 or that they were not anticipated to be installed simultaneously. I wonder if you are seeing some cross over of the application components (shared DLLs, mismatched registry keys, or something similar) that the software is having issue with.

"Continued support for side-by-side installations of major versions. 2021 Release 2 can be installed side-by-side with previous major versions such as 2020 Release 3 (10.09.00.91). The second set of digits in the product version number indicates the major version number. A 10.09 and 10.10 product can be installed side-by-side, but two 10.10 products cannot be installed side-by-side."

I agree with Steven Litzau and Karl Dauber: Is seems to be not possible to install 2021 R1 and 2021 R2 versions side by side. What I see, when I try to install R2 in computer with 2021 R1 version already installed:

I tried it (but it was just simple quick test) to create Report definition in freshly installed 2021 R2 version. It means I uninstall the previous 2021 R1, removed all relics (incl. pref folder) and install the new version from scratch (as I do always with all new versions of all products, because I simply do not believe in "no problem update" option ;-)
I do not see any slow down, delay or any other problem. I am aware used workspace and custom dataset can play role here, but I do not think the difference can be so big.

Indeed, during the install of ORD 2021 R2 (I used the Configuration option), no option to maintain R1 was found. After the installation however, R1 was still on my computer.
Another strange thing is that in the Windows Apps and Features list, OpenRoads 2021 R1 is not present.
After more test I decided to de-install ORD 2021 R2. The Reports function is much faster in R1. Here it takes a few seconds (still around 15) to view / create a Report. In the latest MicroStation CE version, this works right away.
I think Item types in combination with OpenRoads is a very strong combination. Hopefully a solution to the problem above is available soon.
Regarding to the workspace, the problem also exist when No workspace is chosen (using the same dgn file).
