Feature Definition Toolbar Expanding

I believe I've seen a post on here about this, what I would call "mildly infuriating," bug in ORD. But can't seem to find it to, so I'll just go ahead and make a new one.

The feature definition toolbar expands every time you switch views or models in ORD. The only way to reset it is to restart the program. So, by the end of the day, if I haven't restarted my feature definition toolbar could be taking up the whole bottom row, pushing my other toolbars up.

Does anyone know if this has been fixed in 2021 R2? If not, if there is a current service request for it?

Thanks.

  • It's always happened to me with ORD, too.  Definitely annoying.

  • I've put 2 tickets in regarding this, drives us crazy!

    Defect 1134312

In the meantime, we made our own toggle, but note that the toolbar nudges on any task reload command, model switch, etc.

  • FYI, this defect # was closed as it duplicated an existing one. The one to track now is Defect 1107547:Feature Definition toolbar keeps growing larger when users switch between models/DGNs

I've just checked, it's been approved but no timeline yet.

OK, but is a difficult thing to "fix" in the software when it is not happening to everyone. It seems to be much more of a platform issue or graphics card issue. Nonetheless, ya'll should figure out exactly what is going on here and why. It really is much more of an annoyance- it seems- than anything else, and certainly not nearly as important- to me at least- than "actual " issues with this software, but still rather odd.
