Is there any way to import analysis results from HECRAS into Power Civil? HECRAS can export to SDF format (spatial delimited file) but I can find no tools to import SDF into Power Civil. I want to show the water surface results in my DGN.

Hi Neil,
it will depend what format that file is and what data it contains.
If it is a XYZ ASCII file (or some arrangement of XYZ) then the DTM>Extract XYZ should allow you to import thet data. This tool provides for user definable XYZ values for column based ASCII date.
If the datat in not column based, maybe you could post the file so we can take a look.

HECRAS output is SDF, basically the same format that is output from Power Civil in the HECRAS report tool. I am posting a sample HECRAS output file.
I had to rename the file extension from .SDF to .TXT to get it past the forum file filter. Make sure to open the file in a text editor to see the format properly.

Neil,
There is no tool to directly import that format. You could try exporting to a more generic format from the other product OR edit the file you have to remove all data except the XYZ data.
Then you can import that data using the DTM>Extract XYZ tool as mentioned before.
That will create a DAT file. Triangulate that DAT file and you have your surface.
I'm sure there is another solution somewhere.
If not, following my solution and Loading the DTM Hull should give you the outline of the floodway.
