Hi Folks.
using Open Roads 10.10 I am having an error when trying to use the Extract From Graphic Tool with utilities.
I already have a surface and am attempting to extract utilities from a 2D line I drew in. When doing that I am getting the error "Specified Cast is Not Valid" So far I have tried deleting out the feature definitions and re adding them from the Ohio Department of Transportation Standards. I think I have eliminated an error with the drawings file though as some of my coworkers are having no issue with the specific tool in the drawing. I am at a bit of a loss.
It may be that the command is failing to read the settings correctly from the last time that it was used.
Please try opening Windows Explorer, and navigating to this path:
C:\Users\user.name\AppData\Local\Bentley\OpenRoadsDesigner\10.0.0\prefs\civil_commands
Note that the 10.0.0 above could be slightly different, depending on the version you are running.
Find and delete the file "SUBSURFACE EXTRACTUTILITIESFROMGRAPHICS.xml"
Now try running the command again.
Worked for me. As noted, 10.0.0 in the path above should reflect the product that's giving you the error.
