Converting alignment points to cogo points

I have a basic alignment (only PI's, no curves) that I would like to convert to cogo points. I can assign names to the points, but they don't become cogo points. I know that you can import geometry from graphics and import the graphics into cogo points, but is there a better way? I was hoping for a cleaner, simpler way of getting points from alignment to cogo.

Chris,

You did not mention the software that you are using but if you are using the InRoads Group, try Geometry> Horizontal Curve Set> Events> Alignment Point To Cogo. I hope this helps.
