Hello-
I am experiencing weirdness with my alignment/profile in OpenRoads Designer 2021 R1.
I have a 3 mile trail with many horizontal and vertical curves. I know there may have been limitations with Geopak/V8i with the number of vertices in a profile, but was hoping it wasn't in ORD. In the 3D view, there is a chord shown through a section of my alignment. I have deleted .upf and deleted the 10.0 folders in efforts to fix, but it hasn't. I have tried a couple of times and the last time there was a large gap in my 3D view instead of a chord, and not in the same station range.
Does anyone know if it is due to the number of horizontal and/or vertical PI's in this alignment and profile?
Thanks for any insight.
I can assume it's happening near 50+00 to 55+00... Just a guess here looking at the segments (vertical lines) in your profile, possibly an attempt to place a vertical curve in a smaller horizontal curve section. See if there's a design standard for trail/path in your workspace (use the Design Standard toolbar). Florida DOT has one for "shared use path" you can use from their workspace if necessary. In doing so, it may help reveal a civil error in the message center causing the issue.

Thank you, Shawn. I'll check that out.
Hi Katie,
I assume your data was imported? Maybe one of these variables may help?

Thanks, Mark. It was not imported. Fresh from seed ORD file. But I am interested in the top two variables there you mentioned. It sure seems like a problem with the number of elements. With trails, one will always have lots of elements due to the circuitous nature of them. I'll see if those variables make any difference, thank you.

That's an interesting coincidence. The maximum number of points in a MicroStation dgn element is 5000.
