ORD: Combine sheet seed dgnlibs?

Bentley had an interesting presentation yesterday where they suggested combining the sheet seed dgnlib files into a single dgnlib to improve file open times.   Has anyone done this?  I'm curious if you experienced noticeable improvements as a result.

  • This is a general rule for most any application. Processing fewer, larger files is faster than processing more, smaller files.

For ORD this not only applies to the sheet seed dgnlib files, but all resources consumed from dgnlibs; Feature Defs, Levels, Text Styles, etc.

The trick is to find a happy medium between logically segregating your standards and creating too many files.
