Using ORD Update 10 R2 on a DOT project. We have noticed when viewing a geometric dynamic profile with 3D cuts of drainage systems or a bridge crossing the panning or zooming in the dynamic profile is very slow and the software is very unresponsive. We are also having the same issue with Drainage & Utility profiles with 3D cuts of the proposed terrains or other meshes.
We have tested turning off the display of all references in the 3D model, as well as messed with different settings for the 3D reference visible edge settings (fast, low accuracy, etc.), but nothing seems to help with the issue.
I am submitting a Service Request this weekend for the issue, but I was wondering if others have seen the same issue. Thanks
Hi Chris,
This is a major defect in ORD 2021 R2 we are waiting to see get fixed. It makes 3d cut completely unusable. Make sure you put that ticket in to add some weight.
High Severity BUG 854819

Hi Mark,
Do you have any update from Bentley on that defect? Geometry files with profiles with 3d cuts are not usable and entire workflow is broken.

I concur with all which has been stated here. 3D Cuts are completely unusable with this latest version of ORD.
FYI: As of a few weeks ago, Bentley has a Priority Build for 2021 R2 that fixes this issue (build 10.10.23.015)
Thanks for this update, Chris!
Where can I find this priority build?
Just put an SR in requesting a copy
