Two Terrains in cross sections

I try to turn the levels off but they will not stay off in the cross sections file. Both are in the same terrain file so cannot detach.

I'm sure there's a better answer than this, but perhaps you can define a terrain feature definition for "No Plot". Set that up on levels that do not have plotting enabled. We have that sort of thing set up in our Civil3D definitions (we're still learning ORD so it's not in production yet).

Again, there's probably a better answer. You may look into how to update the level states of the cross section named views, and find something there.
Another option might be to create the complex terrain in its own drawing so you can isolate it easily. We were told that there should most often only be one terrain per file, for this sort of reason.

Hopefully, someone else will have additional (probably better) suggestions.

I don't know that you will find a better solution than using a different feature definition so that you can either turn off display that feature definition or turn off the level showing the terrains.

That helped, I changed the level and turn it to no-plot. I always forget about that feature.

I love no-plot levels. I don't need many of them, but there is always information that we need when drafting that doesn't need to make it into the plans. They are also good when the engineer says "take out the mailboxes because we aren't including those" but you KNOW the county is going to come back and ask for them...
